1 Channel Relay 3V Relay Module for Micro:bit

A single-channel 3 V relay module from the ElecFreaks OCTOPUS series, designed for use with the BBC micro:bit. It uses a high-quality HUIKE relay capable of switching loads up to 30 A, making it suitable for controlling home appliances and other high-current devices.

The module runs on 3 V power, which the micro:bit can supply directly. It connects via a standard OCTOPUS electric brick connector and includes both normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) contacts.

Key Features

  • Channels – 1
  • Operating Voltage – 3 V (micro:bit compatible)
  • Max Switching Current – 30 A
  • Contact Type – Normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC)
  • Connector – OCTOPUS electric brick connector
  • Series – ElecFreaks OCTOPUS

Getting Started

  1. Connect the relay module to P1 on an octopus:bit breakout board using a jumper cable
  2. Insert the micro:bit into the edge slot of the octopus:bit
  3. Set P1 to high to close the normally open contact (and open the normally closed contact)

Ideal For

  • BBC micro:bit projects requiring relay switching
  • Controlling lights, motors, and other high-current loads
  • Educational electronics and home automation experiments

Package Contents

  • 1× Single-channel 3 V relay module
Warning: This module can switch high-current circuits. Ensure all high-voltage wiring is performed by a qualified electrician and meets local electrical safety regulations.
