Adafruit 9-DOF LSM9DS1 Breakout Board - STEMMA QT / Qwiic
Add motion, direction and orientation sensing to your project with this compact STEMMA QT version of the LSM9DS1 9-DOF sensor from Adafruit. The LSM9DS1 combines a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis magnetometer and 3-axis gyroscope into a single chip for full orientation tracking.
This version features two STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors for solderless I2C connection — just plug in a compatible cable and start reading sensor data immediately. The board also breaks out SPI and interrupt pins, and includes voltage regulation and level shifting for use with 3.3V or 5V microcontrollers.
Key Features
- 3-Axis Accelerometer – ±2/±4/±8/±16 g selectable ranges
- 3-Axis Magnetometer – ±4/±8/±12/±16 gauss ranges for compass heading
- 3-Axis Gyroscope – ±245/±500/±2000 degrees-per-second ranges
- STEMMA QT / Qwiic Connectors – Solderless I2C connection, plug-and-play
- Dual Interface – I2C (via STEMMA QT or header) and SPI supported
- Wide Voltage Range – 3–5V power and logic with on-board regulator and level shifting
- Compact Design – Smaller than the standard LSM9DS1 breakout, with two mounting holes
Also Available
- LSM9DS1 9-DOF Breakout – Larger breakout with four mounting holes
- LSM9DS0 9-DOF Breakout – Original version with different range options
- L3GD20H + LSM303 9-DOF Breakout – Two-chip design with I2C interface
- BNO055 STEMMA QT – Sensor fusion with absolute orientation output
Ideal For
- Motion and activity tracking projects
- Robot orientation and navigation
- Tilt-compensated compass applications
- Rapid prototyping with solderless connections
Package Contents
- 1× Adafruit LSM9DS1 STEMMA QT Breakout Board (assembled and tested)
- 1× Header strip
