The HM-11 is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.0) module based on the TI CC2541 microprocessor. It provides wireless communication with smartphones, tablets, desktop computers, and other embedded systems via a simple UART serial interface with AT command control. The XBee-compatible form factor makes it easy to integrate into existing designs.

Configurable as master or slave, with adjustable baud rate, device name, pairing password, and transmit power levels. Effective range is up to 30 metres in open environments.
