The Emic 2 is a multi-language text-to-speech module that converts digital text into natural-sounding speech. It uses the industry-standard DECtalk synthesiser engine (5.0.E1) and provides a simple command-based serial interface, making it easy to integrate into any embedded system.

Supporting both English and Spanish, the module offers nine pre-defined voice styles including male, female, and child voices. Speech characteristics such as pitch, speaking rate, and word emphasis can be dynamically controlled for customised output.
