An 8×8 matrix of 64 individually addressable DotStar (APA102) RGB LEDs on a flexible PCB. Each pixel delivers 24-bit colour and is controlled via a fast 2-wire SPI protocol that's less timing-sensitive than NeoPixel, making it easier to drive from any microcontroller.

DotStar LEDs feature built-in high-frequency PWM for smooth colour blending and act as shift registers — letting you daisy-chain as many LEDs as you need from a single data line. At full white brightness, the matrix can draw up to 4 A, so a suitable 5 V power supply is recommended.
