Flip-Pin (8-pins)
Flip-Pins are low-profile soldering pins designed to make breakout boards breadboard-friendly. At 0.020" wide, they match the width of standard Dual-Inline-Package (DIP) IC pins, so they slot into breadboards and IC sockets without the wear caused by wider square header pins.
The eight pins come in a black plastic alignment sleeve that holds them at 0.100" spacing with a 0.062" solder tail exposed. Solder the pins in place, remove the sleeve, and the board sits nearly flush on top — ready to plug directly into any standard breadboard. The sleeve can be cut down if fewer pins are needed.
Key Features
- DIP-Compatible Width – 0.020" pin width matches standard IC pins, unlike square headers
- Alignment Sleeve – Black plastic sleeve holds pins at 0.100" spacing during soldering
- Low Profile – Pins sit near flush with the top of the PCB after soldering
- Breadboard Safe – Won't damage breadboard contacts like oversized header pins
- Trimmable – Cut the sleeve to use fewer than 8 pins
Specifications
- Pin Count – 8
- Pin Width – 0.020"
- Pin Spacing – 0.100" (2.54mm)
- Solder Tail Length – 0.062"
Package Contents
- 1× Flip-Pin strip (8 pins with alignment sleeve)
