Insectbot Hexa -An Arduino Based Walking Robot Kit For Kids

The Insectbot Hexa is a six-legged walking robot kit based on the Beetle BLE (Arduino-compatible with Bluetooth 4.0). Designed for kids and beginners, this DIY kit teaches soldering, assembly, and basic programming through a hands-on robotics project.

Powered by three 9 g micro servos and four AAA batteries, the Insectbot walks steadily on six legs and features an IR range sensor for obstacle avoidance. The Beetle BLE controller supports wireless programming and communication via Bluetooth 4.0, and is programmable through the Arduino IDE (select Arduino UNO as the board) or the graphical Ardublock environment.

Note: Assembly requires soldering. You will need a soldering iron, scissors, screwdriver, and pliers.

Key Features

  • Beetle BLE Controller – Arduino-compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless programming
