The Large Inductive Wireless LED Kit contains 10 white LEDs, each soldered onto an inductive coil. When paired with an inductive coil driver (sold separately), these LEDs light up wirelessly — no direct wiring, soldering, or battery packs required. They use electromagnetic fields and inductive coupling to receive power through the air.

The large coil size allows these LEDs to operate at a greater distance from the driver coil compared to smaller wireless LEDs, making them well suited for creative installations, costumes, and interactive displays.

How It Works

Inductive coupling works by splitting a power transformer in half. The driver coil generates an AC waveform that couples into the smaller coil on each LED. When the two coils are near each other, power is transferred wirelessly and the LED lights up. Multiple LEDs can operate simultaneously in different 3D positions around the driver coil. Brightness is strongest when the coils are aligned and centred, but the LEDs will still illuminate at off-centre positions and different orientations.
