NeoPixel Rings

Individually addressable RGB NeoPixel LEDs arranged in a circular ring. Each LED has a built-in driver chip with ~18 mA constant-current drive, providing consistent colour regardless of voltage variations. Chainable — connect the output of one ring to the input of another and control them all from a single microcontroller pin.

Power with 5V DC (4–7V works) and drive with the Adafruit NeoPixel library for Arduino, or any compatible WS2812/SK6812 library.

Key Features

  • Individually Addressable – Control each LED's colour and brightness independently
  • Chainable – Link multiple rings together on a single data pin
  • Constant-Current Drive – ~18 mA per LED for consistent colour
  • No External Resistors – Driver built into each LED for a slim, clean design
  • 5V Operation – Works from 4–7V DC

Specifications

  • LED Type – WS2812B or SK6812 (same brightness, colour, and protocol)
  • Operating Voltage – 5V DC (4–7V range)
  • Current per LED – ~18 mA constant current
  • Interface – Single-wire data protocol
  • Processor Requirement – 8 MHz or faster real-time microcontroller (AVR, Arduino, PIC, etc.)

Ideal For

  • LED jewellery and wearable electronics
  • Clock faces and circular status indicators
  • Cosplay and costume lighting effects
  • Interactive art and ambient lighting
