The Octopus Dust Sensor Module features the Sharp GP2Y1010AU0F optical dust sensor, capable of detecting fine particles with a diameter as small as 0.8 μm. It uses an infrared LED and phototransistor to measure dust density via light scattering, outputting an analogue voltage proportional to dust concentration.

Part of the ElecFreaks Octopus sensor series, this module is well suited for air quality monitoring projects, smoke detection systems, and environmental sensing applications with Arduino or micro:bit.
