Patch shield for Arduino [v5.01]

The Patch Shield is a cross between a patch panel and a prototyping shield for Arduino. It lets you connect remote sensors, control panels, LEDs, and other peripherals using standard off-the-shelf Ethernet cables — avoiding messy point-to-point wiring.

The shield features RJ45 sockets that act as a patch bay, so you can quickly swap and try different wiring configurations. Four breadboard-friendly satellite PCBs are included, each connecting back to the main shield via an Ethernet cable. The kit is provided unassembled and takes approximately one hour to solder together.

Key Features

  • Patch Bay Design – RJ45 sockets on the shield for quick, reconfigurable wiring
  • 4 Satellite PCBs – Breadboard-friendly breakout boards for remote connections
  • Standard Ethernet Cables – Use any off-the-shelf Cat5/Cat6 cable to connect
  • Arduino Shield Form Factor – Plugs directly onto your Arduino
Note: This is a soldering kit — assembly required. Arduino, Ethernet cables, breadboards, and additional components are not included.

Ideal For

  • Remote sensor installations
  • Control panels with distant components
  • Quick prototyping with swappable wiring
  • Reducing messy point-to-point connections

Kit Contents

  • 1× Patch Shield PCB
  • 4× Satellite PCBs
  • All components for assembly
