Re-programmable USB Type-C PD to 2.1/5.5mm Barrel Jack Cable

Product image 1

Re-programmable USB Type-C PD to 2.1/5.5mm Barrel Jack Cable

A re-programmable USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) cable that converts any PD-capable USB-C power adapter into a configurable DC barrel jack output. Programme the built-in PD sink negotiation chip to request 5 V, 7 V, 9 V, 10 V, 12 V, 15 V, or 20 V at up to 2 A — replacing the need for multiple wall adapters with different voltage outputs.

The cable terminates in a 5.5 mm outer / 2.5 mm inner barrel jack that also fits 2.1 mm sockets. One metre long with a Velcro cable tie included. Reprogramming is done via the included programmer dongle and Windows software.

Key Features

  • Re-Programmable PD Sink – Configure output to 5 V, 7 V, 9 V, 10 V, 12 V, 15 V, or 20 V
  • Up to 2 A Output – Negotiates power from any USB-C PD source adapter
  • DC Barrel Jack Output – 5.5 × 2.5 mm tip (also fits 2.1 mm sockets)
  • 1 Metre Length – Practical cable length with Velcro tie for tidy storage
  • Programmer Dongle Included – Reprogram voltage settings via Windows software

Specifications

  • Input – USB Type-C (PD source required)
  • Output – DC barrel jack, 5.5 × 2.5 mm (fits 2.1 mm)
  • Selectable Voltages – 5 V, 7 V, 9 V, 10 V, 12 V, 15 V, 20 V
  • Maximum Current – 2 A
  • Cable Length – 1 m
  • Programming Software – Windows only

Ideal For

  • Powering devices that use barrel jack connectors from USB-C PD adapters
  • Replacing multiple wall adapters with a single USB-C PD source
  • Hardware projects requiring configurable DC voltage

Package Contents

  • 1× Re-programmable USB-C PD to Barrel Jack Cable (1 m)
  • 1× Programmer Dongle
  • 1× Velcro cable tie
Warning: This cable is a PD negotiation device, not a voltage converter. If your power adapter does not support the programmed voltage, you will receive the default 5 V or no output. Always check that your USB-C adapter lists the desired voltage in its PD specifications.
Note: Output voltage may be 0.25–0.5 V higher than the rated setting to compensate for cable voltage drop under load.
