SmartLED Shield V4 for Teensy
The SmartLED Shield V4 bridges your Teensy microcontroller to large LED matrix panels, making it easy to connect the 13 signals required to drive HUB75 displays. It also provides a connection for an external 5V power supply and breaks out all remaining Teensy GPIO pins to a convenient header.
In addition to LED matrix panels, the SmartLED Shield V4 can also drive individual APA102 LEDs, boards, and strips. The shield comes fully assembled with a socket for your Teensy, so it can be removed at any time.
Key Features
- HUB75 LED Matrix Support – Drives large RGB LED matrix panels with all 13 required signals
- APA102 LED Support – Also compatible with APA102 individual LEDs, boards, and strips
- External Power Input – 5V supply connection powers both the display and Teensy
- Breakout Header – All free Teensy GPIO pins brought out for additional use
- Saves GPIO Pins – Frees up four GPIO pins compared to direct wiring
- Fully Assembled – Ready to use with a removable Teensy socket
