SparkFun Qwiic OpenLog Kit
The SparkFun Qwiic OpenLog Kit includes everything you need to start logging serial data using the Qwiic ecosystem. Built around the Qwiic OpenLog data logger, a RedBoard Qwiic, and a Qwiic Mux, this kit lets you record up to 20,000 bytes per second to a microSD card — ideal for scientific data collection and debugging.
The Qwiic OpenLog supports clock stretching to prevent data corruption during high-speed logging at 400 kHz. All boards connect via Qwiic cables with no soldering required, though 0.1″ header pins are also broken out for breadboard use.
Key Features
- Qwiic OpenLog – I2C data logger recording up to 20,000 bytes/sec to microSD
- RedBoard Qwiic – Arduino UNO-compatible development board with Qwiic connector
- Qwiic Mux (TCA9548A) – 8-channel I2C multiplexer for devices sharing the same address
- 32 GB MicroSD Card – Class 10 with adapter, ready for logging
- Solderless Setup – Qwiic cables included for plug-and-play connections
- Clock Stretching – Prevents data corruption during high-speed I2C logging
Ideal For
- Scientific data logging and environmental monitoring
- Debugging serial data streams
