SparkFun USB-C Breakout

Add a USB-C connector to your project without wrestling with tiny SMD pads. This breakout board routes the USB-C connector's key pins to a standard 0.1" pitch header, making it straightforward to integrate into breadboards and custom PCB designs.

Breaks out VBUS, GND, CC1, CC2, D+, and D− — covering power delivery signalling, data lines, and ground. The reversible USB-C connector means no more guessing which way the cable goes.

Key Features

  • USB-C Connector – Reversible; no wrong way to plug in
  • Pins Broken Out – VBUS, GND, CC1, CC2, D+, D−
  • Header Pitch – 0.1" (2.54mm) — breadboard and standard header compatible
  • Current – Nominal 1.5A; up to 3A depending on upstream power source

Ideal For

  • Adding USB-C power input to custom projects without SMD soldering
  • Prototyping USB-C data and power connections
  • Projects requiring USB Power Delivery (PD) negotiation via CC pins
