TinyFPGA Programmer

The TinyFPGA Programmer is a USB-JTAG bridge designed to program bitstreams onto TinyFPGA A-series boards (A1 and A2). It uses a PIC16F1455 USB microcontroller with a Micro-USB connector, providing a cost-effective alternative to FTDI-based programmers.

The programmer slots directly onto the JTAG pins of A-series FPGA boards. Use the TinyFPGA Programmer Application to upload .jed files generated by Lattice Diamond.

Key Features

  • USB-JTAG Bridge – Programs TinyFPGA A1 and A2 boards via JTAG
  • PIC16F1455 Controller – Low-cost USB microcontroller
  • Micro-USB Connector – Standard USB connection to host computer
  • Direct Slot Connection – Plugs onto the A-series JTAG header pins

Ideal For

  • Programming TinyFPGA A1 and A2 boards
  • FPGA development with Lattice Diamond
Note: This programmer is only required for TinyFPGA A-series boards. B-series boards have an onboard USB interface and do not need an external programmer.
