Adafruit Feather 32u4 RFM95 LoRa Radio - 868 or 915 MHz

The Feather 32u4 RFM95 LoRa Radio (868/915 MHz) combines an ATmega32u4 microcontroller with an SX1276 LoRa radio transceiver, USB connectivity, and LiPo battery charging. LoRa modulation provides dramatically longer range than standard packet radio — over 2 km line-of-sight with default settings and a simple wire antenna, and up to 20 km with tuning and directional antennas.

This is the 900 MHz LoRa version, which can be software-tuned for either 868 MHz or 915 MHz operation in the license-free ISM bands.

Key Features

  • ATmega32u4 @ 8 MHz – 3.3V logic, 32KB flash, 2KB RAM
  • Native USB – Built-in USB bootloader, serial debugging, and HID device support
  • RFM95 LoRa Radio (SX1276) – 868/915 MHz LoRa transceiver with SPI interface
  • +5 to +20 dBm Output – Up to 100 mW selectable in software
  • 2+ km Range – Line-of-sight with default settings; up to 20 km with directional antennas
  • Ultra-Low Sleep Current – ~300 µA in full sleep mode
  • ~120 mA TX at +20 dBm – ~40 mA during active radio listening
  • 20 GPIO Pins – Including 10 analogue inputs and 7 PWM outputs
  • Hardware Serial, I2C & SPI – Full peripheral support
  • Built-in LiPo Charger – 100 mA charging with status indicator LED
  • Battery Monitoring – Battery voltage routed to an analogue pin via divider
