Gravity: Analog Sound Level Meter

The Gravity Analog Sound Level Meter is an Arduino-compatible decibel meter that accurately measures environmental noise levels. It uses an instrumentation-grade circuit with a low-noise microphone for high-precision readings across a 30–130 dBA range.

The output voltage is linearly proportional to the decibel level (0.6V–2.6V maps to 30–130 dBA), so no complex algorithms are needed — just a simple linear conversion. The Gravity analog interface allows plug-and-play connection without soldering.

Key Features

  • Measuring Range – 30 dBA to 130 dBA
  • Measurement Error – ±1.5 dB
  • Frequency Weighting – A-weighted
  • Frequency Response – 31.5 Hz to 8.5 kHz
  • Time Characteristics – 125 ms
  • Input Voltage – 3.3V to 5.0V
  • Input Current – 22 mA at 3.3V, 14 mA at 5.0V
  • Output Voltage – 0.6V to 2.6V (linear mapping to dBA)
  • Interface – Gravity analog (plug-and-play, no soldering)
  • Dimensions – 60 × 43mm

Ideal For

  • Environmental noise monitoring
  • Highway and roadside noise measurement stations
  • Bedroom and indoor noise level tracking
  • Sound-reactive Arduino projects
Warning: The black film on the microphone is a sensitive component — do not touch it with fingernails or sharp objects. Do not place the module on conductive or semiconductor surfaces, as this may short the microphone pins. Place on a dry insulating surface or mount with nylon standoffs.
