The BS612 is a compact, fully configurable mini PIR motion sensor that detects movement from approximately 3–8 metres away with a 120° detection spread. Its small form factor makes it ideal for unobtrusive motion-sensing projects where a full-size PIR module would be too bulky.

Unlike basic PIR sensors, the BS612 provides dedicated pins for adjusting both sensitivity and output hold time via simple resistor dividers. The sensitivity can be tuned from most sensitive (0 V on SENS pin) to least sensitive (3.3 V), while the output on-time is adjustable from 2 seconds (0 V on ONTIME pin) up to one hour (3.3 V).
