The XBee XB24-Z7UIT-004 from Digi is a Series 2 ZigBee mesh networking module with a U.FL antenna connector. It enables reliable wireless communication between microcontrollers, computers, and other serial devices using the XBee ZB ZigBee mesh firmware — supporting point-to-point, multi-point, and complex mesh network topologies.

The U.FL connector allows you to attach an external antenna, ideal for enclosures where the antenna needs to be mounted outside the case. Series 2 modules offer improved power output and the ZigBee mesh protocol over Series 1, though they require more setup and configuration via X-CTU software.
