Fixed Address NeoPixel LED Fairy Lights - 100 Wired LEDs

These fairy lights use NeoPixel-compatible protocol and work with any NeoPixel library — but they behave differently from standard NeoPixels. Instead of acting as a daisy-chained shift register, each LED in this strand has a permanent pre-assigned address (0–100). When it receives data, it picks out its matching colour value and displays it. This means you can branch or parallel multiple strands and they'll all display the same data simultaneously.

The trade-off: you can't chain two strands end-to-end to extend the pixel count, and the addresses are fixed — you can't reassign them. But for parallel branch installations like hanging installations or tree lighting where you want multiple arms displaying the same pattern, these are ideal.

Important: Use a 5V DC power supply only. Do not exceed 6V — overvoltage will destroy the entire strand.

Key Features

  • 100 LEDs – Pre-addressed 0 to 100, fixed permanently
  • NeoPixel Compatible – Works with Arduino NeoPixel library, CircuitPython, and MakeCode
  • Fixed Address Design – Ideal for parallel/branching installations
  • LED Spacing – Approximately 100mm (4") per pixel
  • Wire Type – Solid-core magnet wire; flexible but shape-retaining; non-conductive coating
  • LED Enclosure – Milky white epoxy blob; nearly indestructible
  • Pre-attached Connectors – Ready to connect; can also solder direct to wires
  • Not Weatherproof – Keep dry; not suitable for outdoor wet environments

Wiring

  • Red wire (coppery-red) – Power (5V)
  • Middle wire – Data
  • Remaining wire – Ground
Tip: The wire uses a non-conductive magnet wire coating. Scratch or lightly burn the coating off before soldering. Avoid repeated flexing or abrasion at the connector cables.

Ideal For

  • Branching or tree-style LED installations
  • Parallel strands that display the same animation simultaneously
  • Creative props, costumes, and decorative lighting
